A. Pre-enrichment

The majority of wolframite has high ore dilution rate, often more than 80%, so discarding barren rock as much as possible before re-election is important. Wolframite pre-enrichment can adopt dense-media process and photoelectric chosen method, use dense-media separator, photoelectric sorter and so on as mineral processing equipment.


B. Gravity separation

Beneficiation of wolframite mainly use gravity separation method. The high density of tungsten ore, gravity separation can realize effective separation of mineral particles, which density is less than 3.5-4. Especially Wolframite in quartz ore vein, which has large grain size, is suitable to recover in coarse-grained case.

Jigger and shaking table are the most commonly used equipment in gravity separation. Especially in coarse-grained wolframite beneficiation, jigger plays an important role, often after ore screening, jigging. To reduce argillization of tungsten ore, adding jigger in grinding cycle, makes tungsten ore that has monomer dissociation to be recovered as soon as possible. The tungsten ore concentrates beneficiated by jigger, generally is more than 50% of whole plant recovery rate. Shaker used to separate fine particle ore, its advantage is good enrichment. In order to obtain good separation effect, strict material grading the is necessary before beneficiation, the concentrator usually uses hydraulic classifier for grading.


C. Fine mud treatment

Fine mud flotation of wolframite, after many years study, we recommend branch streaming flotation, mixing ore pulp with air, can save flotation reagent and improve flotation effect.


Magnetic separation, newly-designed wet strong magnetic separator, also has a good effect for fine wolframite mud separation.
